Chile is a land of extremes, stretching over more than 4,000 kilometres, from the Atacama, the driest desert in the world, to the shrouded lands of Patagonia. The silence is intoxicating in the Atacama. There is a feeling of being close to the eternal when the stars shine or the stones burn. The wind is a constant pest in Patagonia, it threatens, scorns and slaps us in the face; and if it’s not the wind then it’s the rain that showers us. From desert to rain, from the sweetness of an oasis of green to the deafening noise of torrents, from the calm to the anger, Chile contains the very essence of the riches of our planet. |
