These days, he can be found hiking, fishing, skiing and biking in the mountains of Colorado, or spending time at his family’s cabin near Deckers. A fourth generation native Coloradan, Bruce is coauthor, with Doug Whitehead, of the best-selling book Colorado’s Best (Fulcrum), which has been featured weekly on KCNC-TV. Bruce has also contributed to the Rough Guide Series in London. His freelance projects have included special travel coverage for The Denver Post, Rocky Mountain News, National Geographic Traveler, Frontier Airlines Inflight Magazine, and on the Internet. Bruce serves as Communications Director for Douglas County School District and lives in Parker, Colorado. Whenever possible he hits the road with his daughters, Shannon and Julia, on shared Colorado adventures. The girls keep track of their trips with Dad by keeping their own journals and lending their own kid’s-eye perspectives to many activities and places in the guide. |
